This building in a residential street in Bromley was designed to fit in with the houses on the street, rather than be a radical modern design, but also to meet the passivhaus criteria. Although the certification process isn’t completed yet, it will be soon, with the project meeting the criteria – our independently tested air test of 0.24 being a vital component to meeting the standard. Such low air test results (substantially lower than the 0.6 maximum) assist with passivhaus certification since they reduce the heat loss of the building (vs 0.6) – a further validation of our air tight solution provided by a rigid TG board over the entire external skin vs a membrane and tape approach.
